‘Maintain Your Purpose’
The state’s Director General of Police Kulwant Kumar Sarangal has called a meeting of police officers in the wake of Ganeshotsav, Navratriotsav and Vidhan Sabha elections and ordered them to be kept in check in the coming days.
The city and rural police commissioner have also ordered the ban on criminals, and instructions have been made to deploy security. On the backdrop of the Ganeshotsav which came just five days later, Sarangal held a meeting with the officials of the city and rural police commissioners on Tuesday. Senior police officers were ordered to take preventive action against the criminals during the festival. It also guided the maintenance of peace and law and order in the festivals of Ganeshotsav and beyond. Police Commissioner Biswas Nangare-Patil along with Superintendent of Police from rural, Ahmednagar, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon were present in the meeting. The meeting discussed the use of CCTV cameras, preventive action against criminals, DJ ban, adherence to the time taken for scenes. Commissioner Nangare-Patil held a meeting of the office-bearers of Ganesh Mandal within the limits of Gangapur Police Station. He warned that traffic should not be obstructed in such a way as to make the scene or the stage set up. Police Commissioner appealed that Ganesh boards and citizens should have ears and eyes of the police during the festival.
