The BCCI told the apex court on February 7 that Sreesanth’s attempt to intervene in the match was appropriate because of his ban. On this, Sreesanth’s lawyers said that there was no spot-fixing during the IPL match. There is no evidence to support it. Tripathi, a lawyer for the BCCI, said the conversations over the telephone made it clear that the money was exchanged. Sreesanth was given 5 lakhs for giving him 5 runs in IPL Sreesanth had also denied the allegations.

Sreesanth played for India in the last 2011.
