The Maharashtra State Road Reform Mahamandal (MSRDC) will be working on the Mumbai-Pune Express Highway (Express Way) Overhead Grant. For this, on Thursday (9.9), the traffic to Mumbai from 12 pm to 2 pm will be completely closed. During this period, light vehicles from Mumbai will be diverted from Kvalle bridge to old Mumbai-Pune highway; The heavy vehicles will be stopped in the Ursa Tollnaka area. Meanwhile, the traffic coming from Mumbai to Pune on the expressway will continue as usual.
‘Overhead Granty’ is being built on ‘ExpressWay’ to create public awareness about the safety and traffic rules of the passengers traveling to Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Through this, the importance of road security in digital form and ad format will be confirmed. This work will be started on Thursday at 12 noon. Hence, the Highway police have decided to stop the Express Way from Pune to Mumbai for 12 to two days for vehicular traffic. Therefore, light vehicles from Mumbai to Pune will have to go to Mumbai using the old highway from Kvalle bridge. However, heavy, cargo vehicles will be stopped in Ursa Tollnaka area, Superintendent of Police Milind Mohite said.
One-way traffic on ‘ExpressWay’ will be closed for two hours. This decision has been taken for the work of Overhead Grant. Due to this work, heavy transporters will have to wait for two hours in one place. In order to save citizenship during this period, there should be no untoward incident, the number of police force on an expressway has been increased.
