Six hundred crores coconut breaks
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be inaugurated today by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), Mhalunga-Mann Nagarvirchana Yojna (TP Scheme), infrastructure worth Rs 600 crores, tomorrow (November 16). After several years, the ‘TP scheme’ will be developed in the state and in the next few years the aim is to provide facilities to 1.5 lakh people in seven acres of land.
After implementing the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, the state government has been developing the first TP scheme of ‘Mhalunga-Maan’, said the authority commissioner and chief executive officer (CEO) Kiran Gite on Wednesday. In the TP scheme 12 to 36 meter width roads will be constructed and he will be ready to complete his work in next six months. He also said that efforts would be made to attract investors to the network of roads, drainage channels, electricity consumers.
Compared to Hinjewadi, more cat area indexes will be available in Mhalunga-Mann area. Therefore, large-scale space will be available for residential and commercial use. The residential and commercial use of this place is going to be made possible and it will be preferred by the citizens for the necessary facilities such as hospitals, schools, playgrounds and bus stations. For the first phase, the fund will be provided by the authority for the development of infrastructure. Gite said that the next phase will be created by the auction of various facilities. Some of the road works in the area are already started by the supervisor. So, now a separate tender process will be implemented for the construction of other facilities including all small and big roads. Gitte said that the investment summit will be held once again for those wishing to invest in Mhlung in the ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ exhibition.
